About Bars and Melody
Bars and Melody are a British pop-rap duo formed in 2014 by Welsh rapper Leondre Devries and English singer Charlie Lenehan. They became known through Britain’s Got Talent, where their anti-bullying reworking of Twista and Faith Evans’ “Hope” appeared as “Hopeful.” The song was followed by the debut album 143 and tracks including “Keep Smiling” and “Stay Strong.”
The 143 Tour took the duo into club and theatre venues around the UK and continental Europe after the debut album’s release. They later returned to European stages for the Generation Z Tour and built another run around the album Choke, giving that record its own Choke Tour.
