Bear McCreary is an American composer and musician, born in Fort Lauderdale in 1979. His orchestral, electronic and folk-instrument scores are known through Battlestar Galactica, The Walking Dead, Outlander, God of War and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. In 2008, Bear McCreary presented music from Battlestar Galactica at The Roxy Theatre, followed by another concert at House of Blues San Diego in 2009. He staged The Singularity as a rock concert at the Fonda Theatre in 2024. The Themes & Variations tour brings suites from his television, film and game scores into a career-spanning program.
