Bedouine in Ann Arbor

Bedouine is the recording name of Azniv Korkejian, a Syrian-born American singer-songwriter of Armenian heritage who was raised in Saudi Arabia and later settled in Los Angeles. She writes chamber folk shaped by acoustic guitar, orchestral arrangements and understated vocals. Her self-titled debut introduced songs including “One of These Days” and “Solitary Daughter,” followed by the albums Bird Songs of a Killjoy and Waysides. In 2017, Bedouine supported Fleet Foxes on North American dates following the release of her debut album. The next year, she brought the same songbook to Newport Folk Festival.
