Bell Book & Candle are a German pop-rock trio formed in Berlin, featuring vocalist Jana Groß, multi-instrumentalist Andy Birr and bassist Hendrik Röder. Their 1998 debut album, Read My Sign, produced their best-known single, “Rescue Me,” and also included “Destiny,” written by Sheryl Crow. Later albums include Longing, The Tube, Prime Time, Bigger and Wie wir sind. Bell Book & Candle supported Whitney Houston and Roxette on tours in Germany. The trio also recorded the live acoustic releases 3 Days Under Pressure and Remainder; the latter includes a performance at the Kulturbrauerei featuring Alphaville singer Marian Gold.
