Bellowhead are an English folk band formed in 2004 by singer and fiddler Jon Boden and melodeon player John Spiers. The eleven-member group arranges traditional songs for strings, brass and percussion; its best-known recordings include the albums Burlesque, Hedonism and Broadside, and songs such as “New York Girls” and “Roll Alabama”. Bellowhead gave their first concert at Oxford Town Hall in 2004. They went on to play theatres and folk festivals around the UK, then ended a farewell tour at the same venue in 2016. The band returned to the road for the Broadside 10th Anniversary Tour in 2022, including a concert at the Royal Albert Hall.
