Ben Lee in Fremantle

Ben Lee is an Australian singer-songwriter born in Sydney in 1978. He began recording as the teenage frontman of indie-rock band Noise Addict before starting a solo career. His best-known work includes the albums Breathing Tornados and Awake Is the New Sleep, and the songs “Cigarettes Will Kill You,” “Catch My Disease” and “Gamble Everything for Love.” Noise Addict opened concerts for Sonic Youth and Beastie Boys while he was still a teenager. In 2003, he joined Ben Folds and Ben Kweller for an Australian tour and a self-titled EP under the name The Bens.
