Benny Sings in Shibuya City

Benny Sings is a Dutch singer, songwriter and producer born in Dordrecht and based in Amsterdam. His understated pop draws on soul, jazz and R&B; albums including Champagne People, City Pop and Music established his sound, while “Rolled Up” with Mac DeMarco and “Loving Is Easy” with Rex Orange County brought his songwriting to a wider audience. In 2019, Benny Sings performed an NPR Tiny Desk Concert in Washington, D.C. Backed by a compact band, he built the session around “Not Enough,” “Passionfruit” and “Duplicate,” presenting his songs in the close quarters of NPR’s offices.
