Bernard Lavilliers in Aix-en-Provence

Bernard Lavilliers is a French singer-songwriter, born in Saint-Étienne in 1946, whose chanson draws on rock, reggae and Latin rhythms. His best-known works include the album O Gringo and the songs “On the Road Again,” “Stand the Ghetto” and “Idées noires,” recorded as a duet with Nicoletta. The 1980 concert album Live Tour 80 documented his stage repertoire, followed two decades later by Histoires en scène. He has played repeated engagements at the Olympia in Paris and performed at Francofolies de La Rochelle.
