Beto Cuevas in Mexico City

Beto Cuevas is a Chilean singer and songwriter, born in Santiago in 1967, best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band La Ley. His voice is closely associated with songs including “El Duelo,” “Aquí” and “Mentira,” while his solo catalogue includes the albums Miedo Escénico and Transformación. La Ley recorded an MTV Unplugged concert in Miami in 2001, presenting its songs in acoustic arrangements for a live album. After the band separated in 2005, Beto Cuevas performed its repertoire alongside his solo material under his own name. He returned to the stage with the reunited group at Festival Internacional de la Canción de Viña del Mar in 2014.
