Bi-2 in Leipzig

Bi-2 are a Belarusian rock band formed in Bobruisk in 1988 by Shura Bi-2 and Lyova Bi-2. They play Russian-language alternative rock and are known for the self-titled album Bi-2, the song “Polkovniku nikto ne pishet” featured in the film Brother 2, and tracks including “Varvara,” “Serebro” and “My Rock ’n’ Roll,” recorded with Yulia Chicherina. In 2003, Bi-2 began presenting their songs with a symphony orchestra, a concert format they have revisited many times and documented on live releases. Later album tours included Spirit, #16plus and Gorizont sobytiy, taking the full electric band through theatres and arenas. The orchestral series also reached Moscow’s Crocus City Hall.
