Bia Ferreira Tickets & 2026–2027 Tour Dates

Bia Ferreira is a Brazilian singer-songwriter, guitarist and activist born in Carangola, Minas Gerais. She calls her mix of MPB, jazz, soul and politically direct songwriting MMP, short for Música de Mulher Preta. Her best-known works include “Cota Não É Esmola,” “Não Precisa Ser Amélia” and the albums Igreja Lesbiteriana: Um Chamado and Faminta.

Her filmed Sofar Curitiba performance of “Cota Não É Esmola” placed her voice and acoustic guitar at the center and became the song’s best-known live document. She later recorded an NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert with a full band, performing “Sharamanayas,” “Não Precisa Ser Amélia” and “De Dentro do AP.”
