Big Head Todd and The Monsters are an American rock band formed in Boulder, Colorado, in 1986. Their music draws on blues rock, roots rock and jam-band improvisation, and they are best known for the album Sister Sweetly and songs including “Bittersweet,” “Broken Hearted Savior” and “Circle.” The band recorded the concert album Live Monsters at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in 1997 and later returned to the venue for repeated headline performances. They have toured extensively across the United States, while the related Big Head Blues Club project has taken tribute programs devoted to Robert Johnson and Willie Dixon on the road.
