Big Something is an American jam-rock band formed in Burlington, North Carolina, in 2009. The group plays funk-driven rock with reggae and electronic elements, and is known for the song “Megalodon” and albums including Truth Serum, Tumbleweed and The Otherside. Big Something hosts the multi-day North Carolina festival The Big What?, where the band performs multiple sets. Its wider U.S. touring history includes club and theatre dates as well as appearances at Peach Music Festival and Summer Camp Music Festival.
Kendall Street Company is an American jam-rock band formed in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2013. Its music draws on psychedelic rock, funk, folk and jazz improvisation, documented on albums including Space for Days, The Stories We Write for Ourselves and The Year the Earth Stood Still. Kendall Street Company performed at LOCKN’ and FloydFest, where its full-band sets combined composed songs with extended improvisation. The group also established the recurring hometown concert event Kendall Street Is for Lovers.
