Billy Nomates in London

Billy Nomates is the solo project of English singer-songwriter and musician Tor Maries, whose music pairs post-punk and electronic rhythms with direct, sometimes spoken vocals. She introduced the project with the 2020 album Billy Nomates, including “No” and “Hippy Elite,” later appeared on Sleaford Mods’ “Mork n Mindy,” and followed with the album CACTI. In 2021, Billy Nomates joined Sleaford Mods as support on UK dates. She mounted a UK headline run for CACTI in 2023, then performed solo to backing tracks on the Park Stage at Glastonbury Festival.
