Birds on a Wire in Annemasse

Birds on a Wire is a duo formed in France in 2012 by Franco-American singer Rosemary Standley and Brazilian singer and cellist Dom La Nena. Their repertoire recasts songs associated with writers including Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits and Caetano Veloso, documented on the albums Birds on a Wire and Ramages. The stage program built around Birds on a Wire took the duo through theatres and festivals before they returned with the Ramages repertoire. Their concerts center on Standley’s voice and La Nena’s cello and vocals; a Paris performance of Ramages was filmed at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord.
