Bjørn Berge in Bergen

Bjørn Berge is a Norwegian guitarist, singer and songwriter, born in 1968, whose music centres on blues and blues rock. He is known for a percussive approach to 12-string acoustic guitar, slide playing and forceful reinterpretations of songs such as Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades.” His albums include Blues Hit Me, Stringmachine and Illustrated Man. Bjørn Berge has toured extensively across Norway and continental Europe, performing in clubs, theatres and at blues festivals. His concerts are built around solo vocals and amplified acoustic guitar, using fingerpicking, slide and strikes on the instrument’s body to carry complete arrangements. His festival history includes appearances at Notodden Blues Festival.
