Bläck Fööss are a German band formed in Cologne in 1970, known for pop, rock and carnival songs sung mainly in Kölsch. Their repertoire includes “Drink doch eine met,” “En unserem Veedel” and “Mer losse d’r Dom en Kölle,” songs closely associated with the city and its carnival culture. The annual New Year’s Eve concert became a central tradition in the band’s live history. The 2022 edition marked the retirement from live performance of longtime members Erry Stoklosa and Bömmel Lückerath at LANXESS arena.
