Blackberry Smoke in Ottawa

Blackberry Smoke is an American Southern-rock band formed in the state of Georgia in 2000. Its country-rock and blues-rock catalog includes the albums The Whippoorwill, Holding All the Roses and Like an Arrow, as well as songs such as “One Horse Town,” “Good One Comin’ On” and “Waiting for the Thunder.” Blackberry Smoke followed the Like an Arrow Tour with the Find a Light Tour, playing theatres and festivals as a full band. The annual Brothers and Sisters Holiday Homecoming at the Tabernacle was captured for the concert album and film Homecoming: Live in Atlanta. Blackberry Smoke has performed at Download Festival in England and Sweden Rock Festival in Sölvesborg.

Bywater Call is a Canadian seven-piece formed in Toronto in 2017. The group plays southern soul, blues rock and roots rock, led by the songs and vocals heard across the albums Bywater Call, Remain and Shepherd. Its recorded catalogue includes “Arizona,” “Falls Away” and “Sweet Maria.” A 2022 performance at the Crossroads Festival for WDR Rockpalast captured the band at Harmonie in Bonn. Later UK runs included a performance at The 100 Club in London, part of a live schedule built around clubs, theatres and blues festivals across Europe. The concert lineup features lead vocals, two guitars, keyboards, bass, drums, trumpet and saxophone. At its centre are singer Meghan Parnell and guitarist Dave Barnes.
