Blaze Bayley in Bradford

Blaze Bayley is a British heavy-metal singer, born in Birmingham in 1963, best known as the frontman of Wolfsbane and as Iron Maiden’s vocalist from 1994 to 1999. He sang on the albums The X Factor and Virtual XI, including “Man on the Edge,” “Futureal” and “The Clansman.” His solo catalogue began under the name Blaze with Silicon Messiah and Tenth Dimension. In 1990, Wolfsbane supported Iron Maiden on the UK leg of the No Prayer on the Road tour. Bayley later led Iron Maiden through The X Factour and the Virtual XI World Tour, playing arenas and festivals internationally. After leaving the group, he toured clubs, theatres and metal festivals with his own bands, first as Blaze and later as Blaze Bayley. His live releases document how widely that work travelled: Alive in Poland was recorded at the Metalmania festival in Katowice, while The Night That Will Not Die captured a 2008 performance at Z7 in Pratteln.
