BLKBOK in Carmel

BLKBOK is the stage name of American pianist and composer Charles Wilson III, a Detroit native who writes contemporary neoclassical music for solo piano. His debut album, Black Book, includes pieces such as “Michelle’s First Day at School” and “George Floyd & The Struggle for Equality,” using instrumental composition to address Black history and contemporary life. BLKBOK has toured the United States as a solo pianist, presenting his compositions in theatres and performing-arts venues. In 2022, he performed during Juneteenth: A Global Celebration for Freedom at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
