Blood, Sweat & Tears in Las Vegas

Blood, Sweat & Tears is an American jazz-rock band formed in New York City in 1967 by Al Kooper. Its horn-led sound draws on rock, jazz, soul and pop, and the group became known for “Spinning Wheel,” “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy” and “And When I Die.” The self-titled Blood, Sweat & Tears won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. The group performed at Woodstock in 1969 and undertook a U.S. State Department-sponsored tour of Eastern Europe the following year. Those performances featured the large horn-led ensemble heard on the second album, fronted by David Clayton-Thomas.

Jason Scheff is an American singer, bassist and songwriter, born in San Diego and best known for his three-decade tenure with Chicago. He joined the band in 1985 and sang lead on songs including “Will You Still Love Me?” from Chicago 18 and “What Kind of Man Would I Be?” from Chicago 19. Between 1985 and 2016, he handled bass and lead vocals on the group’s tours through arenas, amphitheatres and theatres. In 2019, he joined the Beatles tribute tour It Was Fifty Years Ago Today, performing material from the White Album and songs from his own catalogue alongside Todd Rundgren, Christopher Cross, Joey Molland and Micky Dolenz.
