Bloodbath in Santiago

Bloodbath are a Swedish death-metal band formed in Stockholm in 1998 by Anders Nyström, Jonas Renkse, Mikael Åkerfeldt and Dan Swanö. Their early releases helped revive the sound of old-school death metal, while albums including Resurrection Through Carnage, Nightmares Made Flesh and The Fathomless Mastery established songs such as “Eaten” and “Cancer of the Soul” in the band’s catalogue. Paradise Lost vocalist Nick Holmes joined for Grand Morbid Funeral. Bloodbath played their first concert at Wacken Open Air in 2005, a performance later issued as The Wacken Carnage. The band subsequently performed at Party.San Open Air in 2008 and Bloodstock Open Air in 2010; footage from those sets was collected on Bloodbath Over Bloodstock.
