About Bob Weir and Wolf Bros
Bob Weir and Wolf Bros is an American roots-rock ensemble formed in 2018 by Grateful Dead guitarist and singer Bob Weir with bassist Don Was and drummer Jay Lane. Its repertoire draws on the Grateful Dead songbook, Weir’s solo work and American folk and blues standards; the concert albums Live in Colorado and Live in Colorado Vol. 2 document that approach.
The group began touring theatres in 2018 as a trio, then expanded its arrangements through the horn-and-string players known as the Wolfpack. Performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in 2021 supplied the recordings for the two Live in Colorado releases. In 2022, the ensemble presented four concerts with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center.
