Bobby Alu in Costa Mesa

Bobby Alu is an Australian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist of Samoan heritage who plays roots music shaped by reggae and island pop. A vocalist, ukulele player and percussionist, he is known for songs including “My Style,” “Other Side” and “Move,” as well as the album Flow. Bobby Alu spent several years touring internationally as Xavier Rudd’s drummer and percussionist before developing his own headline shows. He later toured Australia and Europe under his own name, performing solo and with a band, and appeared at Bluesfest Byron Bay and the Woodford Folk Festival.
