Bökkers in Arnhem

Bökkers is a Dutch rock band formed in Salland around singer and guitarist Hendrik Jan Bökkers. The group plays hard-driving rock ’n’ roll in the Sallands dialect and developed from a Normaal tribute act into a band with its own material, including “Kold Bloed,” “Iederene Hef Een Reden” and the album Schorem Uut De Schiettente. The band first performed songs by Normaal before taking its original dialect-rock repertoire into Dutch clubs, theatres and festival grounds. Bökkers later became closely associated with the eastern Netherlands festival circuit through repeated appearances at Zwarte Cross.
