About Bolden.
BOLDEN. is a British jazz-house duo formed in 2024 by multi-instrumentalists Reuben Barrett and Catherine Rannus. They pair jazz instrumentation with electronic rhythms, and their name pays tribute to jazz pioneer Buddy Bolden.
The duo made its sold-out live debut at OMEARA in London. During 2025 dates at Kuudes Linja in Helsinki, Le Trabendo in Paris and Schubas in Chicago, Barrett and Rannus switched among saxophone, flute, drums, guitar, keyboards and vocals.
