About Bomba Estéreo
Bomba Estéreo is a Colombian band formed in Bogotá in 2005 by musician and producer Simón Mejía. The group plays electronic cumbia shaped by Caribbean rhythms, reggae and hip-hop, led by Liliana Saumet’s vocals. Its best-known songs include “Fuego,” “Soy Yo” and “To My Love,” while key albums include Elegancia Tropical, Amanecer and Deja.
The Reflektor Tour brought Bomba Estéreo to arena audiences as support for Arcade Fire in 2014. The band also toured as a headliner in clubs and theatres, performing as a live ensemble built around Saumet’s vocals and Mejía’s bass and electronics.
The group’s festival history includes performances at Coachella and Glastonbury. Bomba Estéreo has also played Lollapalooza.
