Artist
Bonaparte is a Swiss dance-punk project founded by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tobias Jundt in Barcelona in 2006 and later based in Berlin. Its electronic rock, punk rhythms and eccentric lyrics became known through songs including “Too Much” and “Anti Anti,” both from the debut album Too Much, followed by records such as My Horse Likes You and Sorry, We’re Open. Bonaparte performed at Roskilde Festival during the touring that followed Too Much, then took the project through European clubs and further festival appearances, including Sziget Festival. The live production has centered on a changing ensemble of musicians and performers rather than a fixed band lineup. A Bonaparte concert combines the songs with choreographed movement, costumes and theatrical characters built around the performance of Tobias Jundt.
