Bonnie Tyler in Hamburg

Bonnie Tyler is a Welsh rock and pop singer, born in Skewen in 1951 and recognized for her husky voice. She first found wide success with “Lost in France” and “It’s a Heartache,” then recorded “Total Eclipse of the Heart” for the album Faster Than the Speed of Night and sang “Holding Out for a Hero” for the film Footloose. At the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Tyler represented the United Kingdom with “Believe in Me.” She later took the album Between the Earth and the Stars on a European theatre tour in 2019, including a concert at the London Palladium.
