Boombox in Krakow

Boombox is a Ukrainian band formed in Kyiv in 2004 by singer Andriy Khlyvnyuk and guitarist Andriy Samoilo. The group plays pop-rock informed by funk, hip-hop and electronic music, and is known for songs including “Vakhteram,” “Ta4to” and “Naodyntsi,” as well as the albums Melomaniya and Family Biznes. Boombox interrupted a North American tour after Russia launched its full-scale invasion in 2022, when Khlyvnyuk returned home and joined Ukraine’s Territorial Defence Forces. The group later resumed benefit touring in Europe and North America, using its concerts to raise money for medical and defence needs in Ukraine.
