Born Ruffians are a Canadian indie-rock band formed in Midland, Ontario, in 2004 and later based in Toronto. Their wiry guitars, rhythmic shifts and Luke Lalonde’s vocals became familiar through the debut album Red, Yellow & Blue and songs including “Hummingbird,” “Foxes Mate for Life” and “I Need a Life.” The band’s early touring included dates with Franz Ferdinand and Peter Bjorn and John. Festival appearances later took Born Ruffians to Coachella in California and Glastonbury Festival in England.
