Brandi Carlile in Amsterdam

Brandi Carlile is an American singer-songwriter, born in 1981 and raised in Washington state, who plays Americana, folk rock and country. Her best-known recordings include “The Story,” “The Joke” and “Right on Time,” while her major albums include By the Way, I Forgive You and In These Silent Days. The 2011 concert album Live at Benaroya Hall with the Seattle Symphony documented her orchestral live work. She established Girls Just Wanna Weekend in Mexico’s Riviera Maya in 2019, then took the Beyond These Silent Days Tour to Madison Square Garden in 2022. Carlile performs with a full band that includes her longtime collaborators, twin brothers Phil and Tim Hanseroth. Their vocal harmonies and guitar playing have been part of her recordings and concerts since her early career. Carlile has headlined Red Rocks Amphitheatre outside Denver and brought her band to the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

KT Tunstall is a Scottish singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Edinburgh in 1975. Her debut album, Eye to the Telescope, introduced the songs “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree,” “Suddenly I See” and “Other Side of the World,” establishing her guitar-led mix of pop, rock and folk. In 2004, she performed “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” alone with a guitar and loop pedal on Later... with Jools Holland. She went on to play Glastonbury in 2005 and appeared at the Live Earth concert at Giants Stadium in 2007. In 2022, she returned to North American amphitheatres as the opening act on a tour by Hall & Oates.
