Branford Marsalis Quartet is an American jazz group formed in 1986 and led by saxophonist Branford Marsalis. The ensemble plays post-bop and contemporary jazz, and its catalogue includes Crazy People Music, Contemporary Jazz, Eternal, Braggtown and Four MFs Playin’ Tunes. In 2003, the quartet performed John Coltrane’s complete A Love Supreme at the Bimhuis in Amsterdam; the concert was documented as A Love Supreme Live in Amsterdam. In 2016, the group followed the album Upward Spiral with concerts featuring vocalist Kurt Elling.
