Brian Fallon is an American singer-songwriter from New Jersey, best known as the lead singer and principal songwriter of The Gaslight Anthem. His writing includes the band’s songs “The ’59 Sound,” “45” and “Handwritten,” while his solo catalogue began with the album Painkillers and continued through Sleepwalkers and Local Honey. At Glastonbury in 2009, Brian Fallon fronted The Gaslight Anthem during a set that featured Bruce Springsteen on “The ’59 Sound.” He took Painkillers on tour as a solo artist in 2016, then toured Sleepwalkers backed by The Howling Weather. The Local Honey tour followed in 2022, bringing that album’s quieter songs into theatre performances.
Tim Barry is an American singer-songwriter and musician based in Richmond, Virginia. He fronts the punk band Avail, played bass in the folk-punk group (Young) Pioneers, and has pursued acoustic, country-influenced folk music as a solo artist since 2004. His solo releases include Rivanna Junction, Manchester, 28th & Stonewall, Lost & Rootless and High on 95; Rivanna Junction draws directly on his life in the city and time beside the James River. Avail toured internationally and released six studio albums during Tim Barry’s time as frontman. His subsequent solo performances brought that writing into an acoustic format, and Raising Hell & Living Cheap documents one such concert. He also joined the acoustic Revival Tour with Chuck Ragan, Ben Nichols and Frank Turner.
