Bright Eyes in St Louis

Bright Eyes is an American indie-rock band formed in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1995 and built around singer-songwriter Conor Oberst, multi-instrumentalist Mike Mogis and trumpeter and pianist Nate Walcott. The group’s catalog includes Fevers and Mirrors, Lifted or The Story Is in the Soil, Keep Your Ear to the Ground and I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning, as well as the songs “First Day of My Life” and “Lua.” Bright Eyes split their 2005 touring into a folk-oriented run and an electronic run backed by members of The Faint, reflecting the contrasting records released that year. In 2011 they played the Hollywood Bowl while touring The People’s Key, then went on hiatus. They returned to the stage in 2021 and toured material from Down in the Weeds, Where the World Once Was. Bright Eyes have played extensively in the United States and returned repeatedly to the United Kingdom, including a performance at Glastonbury.
