Bruce Cockburn is a Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Ottawa in 1945. His music draws on folk, rock, blues and jazz, while songs including “Wondering Where the Lions Are,” “Lovers in a Dangerous Time” and “If a Tree Falls” pair detailed guitar writing with political and spiritual themes. His best-known albums include Dancing in the Dragon’s Jaws and Stealing Fire. In 2005, Bruce Cockburn performed at Canada’s Live 8 concert in Barrie.
