Bruce Cockburn in New York

Bruce Cockburn is a Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Ottawa in 1945. His music draws on folk, rock, blues and jazz, while songs including “Wondering Where the Lions Are,” “Lovers in a Dangerous Time” and “If a Tree Falls” pair detailed guitar writing with political and spiritual themes. His best-known albums include Dancing in the Dragon’s Jaws and Stealing Fire. In 2005, Bruce Cockburn performed at Canada’s Live 8 concert in Barrie. A later performance at Massey Hall was documented in the concert film Bruce Cockburn: Live at Massey Hall, preserving one of his full-band theatre shows at the Toronto venue.

Livingston Taylor is an American singer-songwriter, born in Boston in 1950, whose music draws on folk, pop and acoustic rock. He began recording with the album Livingston Taylor and is known for songs including “Carolina Day,” “I Will Be in Love with You” and “I'll Come Running.” Snapshot: Live at the Iron Horse documented his long-running solo concert format.
