Cake in St. Augustine

Cake is an American alternative-rock band formed in Sacramento in 1991. Their dry, conversational vocals, guitar, trumpet and economical rhythms are heard on songs including “The Distance,” “Never There” and “Short Skirt/Long Jacket,” as well as their cover of “I Will Survive.” Key albums include Fashion Nugget, Prolonging the Magic and Comfort Eagle. In 2002, Cake launched and headlined the first Unlimited Sunshine Tour. The package tour returned in 2003 and 2007, and performers across its editions included Modest Mouse, De La Soul and the Flaming Lips. In 2018, they co-headlined an amphitheater tour with Ben Folds.
