Calmus Ensemble is a German five-voice vocal group founded in Leipzig in 1999 by former members of the St Thomas Boys Choir. The ensemble later developed into a mixed quintet and became known for one-singer-per-part a cappella programs spanning Renaissance and Baroque music, Romantic choral works, contemporary compositions and arrangements of popular songs. Calmus Ensemble has performed at the Gewandhaus and the Konzerthaus Berlin. On North American tours, the group sang at Carnegie Hall in New York and the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
