Candlemass in Moore Park

Candlemass are a Swedish doom metal band formed in Stockholm in 1984 by bassist and songwriter Leif Edling. Their debut album, Epicus Doomicus Metallicus, and its follow-up, Nightfall, set out the slow, heavy style that became known as epic doom metal. “Solitude,” “Crystal Ball” and “Bewitched” are central songs in their catalogue. Candlemass marked their 25th anniversary with a concert at Debaser Medis in 2010. The following year, they performed Epicus Doomicus Metallicus in full at Roadburn Festival, joined by the album’s original vocalist, Johan Längqvist. The band have also performed at Hellfest in Clisson and at Germany’s Wacken Open Air.
