Cantus is an American low-voice vocal ensemble based in Minneapolis, formed in 1995 by students at St. Olaf College. The group performs classical and contemporary repertoire as a conductorless chamber ensemble and is known for recordings including There Lies the Home and That Eternal Day. Cantus has performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and Lincoln Center in New York. The ensemble also appeared in All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914, the music-theater work conceived by Peter Rothstein, and toured the production with Theater Latté Da.
