Carl Thomas is an American R&B and soul singer, born in Aurora, Illinois, in 1972. Signed to Bad Boy Records, he became known through his 2000 debut album, Emotional, and its songs “I Wish,” “Summer Rain” and “Emotional.” His later albums include Let’s Talk About It and So Much Better.

At the 2016 Bad Boy Family Reunion concerts at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Carl Thomas performed as part of the label’s retrospective alongside Puff Daddy, Faith Evans, 112, Total and Mase. Later that year, he joined the national arena itinerary billed as the Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour.
