About SWV

SWV, short for Sisters With Voices, is an American R&B vocal trio formed in New York City in 1988 by Cheryl “Coko” Gamble, Tamara “Taj” Johnson-George and Leanne “Lelee” Lyons. Their debut album, It’s About Time, introduced the group’s close harmonies through songs including “Weak,” “Right Here,” and “I’m So into You”; later releases included “You’re the One” and “Rain.”

In 2023, SWV toured with Jodeci and Dru Hill on the Summer Block Party Tour. The following year, they co-headlined the Queens of R&B Tour with Xscape, joined by Mýa, Total and 702.
