Carlos Baute in Buenos Aires

Carlos Baute is a Venezuelan singer-songwriter, born in Caracas in 1974, who began performing as a teenager with the group Los Chamos before establishing a solo career in Latin pop. He is best known for songs including “Te regalo,” “Quién te quiere como yo” and “Colgando en tus manos,” recorded as a duet with Marta Sánchez and featured on the album De mi puño y letra. Carlos Baute has toured his Spanish-language catalogue in theatres and at festivals in Spain and Latin America. His concert repertoire draws on his solo releases and major duets; in 2019, he performed at the Venezuela Aid Live benefit concert in Cúcuta, Colombia.
