Carrie Nation and the Speakeasy in Wichita

Carrie Nation and the Speakeasy is an American band formed in Wichita, Kansas, in 2007. The group plays bluegrass, folk punk and alt-country driven by acoustic strings and Dixieland-style brass, a sound it calls “Brass ’n’ Grass.” Its best-known releases include the albums The Mechanical Bull and Hatchetations. Carrie Nation and the Speakeasy have built their live history through independent tours of the United States and Europe, playing clubs, theatres and roots-music festivals. Their festival appearances have included Muddy Roots Music Festival in Tennessee and Boomtown Fair in England.
