Artist
Cassius was a French electronic duo formed in Paris by producers Philippe Zdar and Hubert Blanc-Francard, who performed as Boom Bass. They made sample-driven house music and became known for the album 1999 and tracks including “Cassius 1999,” “Feeling for You” and “The Sound of Violence.” Cassius performed as a two-person DJ act in clubs before bringing that format to larger festival stages. Their festival appearances included Main Square Festival in Arras and Rock en Seine in Saint-Cloud.
