Catfish Keith in Newcastle upon Tyne

Catfish Keith is an American acoustic blues singer, songwriter and guitarist, born in East Chicago, Indiana, in 1962 and based in Iowa City. His music draws on country blues, ragtime and Delta traditions, led by fingerpicked and slide guitar. His albums include Pepper in My Shoe, Fresh Catfish and Mississippi River Blues. Catfish Keith has spent decades touring as a solo singer and guitarist, performing in clubs, theatres and at festivals across the United States and Europe. He has appeared at the Chicago Blues Festival, and his long record of British touring includes performances at Cambridge Folk Festival and the Edinburgh Festival.
