Cautious Clay in New York

Cautious Clay is the stage name of American singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Josh Karpeh, who was born in Cleveland in 1993. He makes alternative R&B, soul and pop, and is known for “Cold War” and the albums Deadpan Love and KARPEH. Taylor Swift’s “London Boy” samples “Cold War.” In 2019, Cautious Clay performed at Coachella. He later headlined clubs and theatres on the Deadpan Love Tour before opening arena dates for John Mayer on the Sob Rock Tour in 2022.
