Celtic Thunder in Spartanburg

Celtic Thunder is an Irish male vocal ensemble and theatrical concert production created in 2007 by producer Sharon Browne, with composer Phil Coulter as its first musical director. The group presents traditional songs, pop standards and original material through a rotating cast of soloists. Its filmed concerts reached North American audiences through PBS, while releases such as Take Me Home, Heritage and Voyage featured recurring selections including “Caledonia” and “Ireland’s Call.” The group made its stage debut at the Helix in Dublin in 2007, and that performance supplied its first television concert. Celtic Thunder later toured North American theatres with Take Me Home and Heritage, followed by concert productions built around Mythology and Legacy.
