Ceremony are an American band formed in Rohnert Park, California, in 2005. They began with abrasive hardcore punk on records such as Violence Violence and Rohnert Park, then moved toward post-punk on Zoo and The L-Shaped Man; later releases include In the Spirit World Now. “Kersed” and “Sick” are among their best-known songs. Ceremony played Coachella in 2012 during the touring cycle for Zoo, bringing their live set to a major festival stage. The band later returned for multiple editions of the California hardcore festival Sound and Fury.
Destiny Bond are an American five-piece formed in Denver in 2021. Vocalist Cloe Madonna Janzen, guitarists Emily Armitage and Amos Helvey, bassist Rio Wolf and drummer Adam Croft play melodic hardcore informed by melodic punk and emo. Convulse released their debut album, Be My Vengeance, in 2023, followed by the heavier and more introspective The Love in 2025.
